The holidays are just around the corner and one Dallas-based online jewelry store is honoring five women who touch the lives of those around them through their selfless actions. Joolwe.com online jewelry store wants to discover and recognize the hard work that some women do all year, and they’re getting the public involved. The company is launching its first annual “Joolwe Selfless Woman Jewelry Award“; the program is searching for members of the community who always put the needs of others before their own and never ask for anything in return. Joolwe.com is asking the public to submit letters telling the story of the person they feel deserves to have their Christmas wishes fulfilled. The online retailer will pick the winners based on merit and give them the opportunity to choose any piece of fine jewelry from the special reward catalog section of their store. “We understand that all of the nominees are outstanding women; but, unfortunately we can only choose the five most compelling stories. I wish we could honor all of them for all of their hard work,” says Cheng.

When asked why such a young company decided to launch such an altruistic initiative; company founder, Ryan Cheng says, “I think its important to celebrate those in the community who work hard all year and I think the gift of jewelry is a wonderful way to make a person feel special. Also, by asking the public to nominate someone they know, we are encouraging the community to get involved.” The company is no stranger to community-based efforts; they are also launching a program called “Shop for a Cause“; where a portion of the company’s proceeds will be donated to participating local and national charities.
